I agree with another reviewer in that the price for this product can’t be beat. The company also shipped quickly to my address. Recommend all Swanson vitamins and supplements for your healthcare needs.
Lecithin as a supplement promotes lower cholesterol and is therfore good for your heart. Fish oil and flaxseed oil also have similar effects.
Order was promptly acknowledged and followed by series of emails like these: Your order has left receiving on the fifth floor on its way to shipping in the basement; Your order has left the fourth floor on its way to shipping; Your order has reached the third floor on its way to shipping. Suddenly the emails stopped. Silence for days.
I attempted to reach the company by email, but their special mechanism to do so does not indicate whether you succeeded or not. I repeated this several times with minor tweaks. Suddenly, after about 2 weeks the product was delivered. Apparently my first distress call had worked but was not acknowledged. Product is fine and the price is reasonable. War and tear on my nerves accounts for the missing two stars.
I always take lecithin but am used to paying much more, I was plesantly suprised at Swanson’s prices for vitamins, supplements and herbal remedies with the same high quality as I had before. They were quick to arrive. Plan to continue using this company.
Lecithin is promoted as a quick fix for weight loss, as well as many other diseases and ailments. Lecithin supplement producers claim that lecithin has a beneficial role in:
* Cardiovascular health
* Liver and cell function
* fat transport and fat metabolism
* reproduction and child development
* physical performance and muscle endurance
* cell communication
* improvement in memory, learning and reaction time
* relief of arthritis
* healthy hair and skin
* treatment for gallstones
I have used Swanson products for 2 years now. Some supplements work for me, while others had no effect that I could measure. The lecithin tastes great in my morning oatmeal. My opinion, is that it has been a useful aid in lowering my bad choleterol and assisting with the maintenance of my blood glucose levels (I am diabetic). It, along with their Siliphos capsules (a more biavailable form of milk thistle) have been useful in the maintenance of my liver. It was inflammed and now my doctor wonders how the enzymes have returned so quickly to normal.
This is my first time using Swanson products, and first time using Lecithin Granules. What can I say? I like it. The taste is great, very light, almost like a buttery vanilla. It’s easily added to anything, my favorite is in my morning oatmeal. I know it’s working because I used to get light headaches from using the nootropics Oxiracetam and Piracetam (which improve the metabolism of the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine in the brain and improve blood flow and oxygen to the brain)without a recommended Choline supplement and those absolutely went away once I supplemented the Choline my brain needed.
I can’t say what effect it has had on cholesterol because that’s not why I use it, although that is one of the claims to fame this product has.
As for concentration and memory – from my experience it’s been very helpful, but then again I use it with the aforementioned nootropics and they work in synergy with Lecithin (choline)to subtly improve overall cognition and memory.
As for the the whole purchasing transaction via Amazon, well, it couldn’t have gone better, even though the product shipped from Swanson, it arrived super fast and nicely packed – will definitely be purchasing this again once my supply runs out.
I was following the Eat Right for your Blood type diet and found a recipe for 8 oz of cold pineapple juice, one tbs of flax seed oil,and one tbls of these granules mixed in the morning with breakfast. It emulsifies easily and is easy to digest. It is refreshing every morning. The product was packed well and came quickly. I can recommend the service via Amazon for getting it here as a product that worked.
The Lecithin Granules were packaged and shipped well, and the product has the quality I’ve come to expect from Swanson Premium Brand products. A success!

I don’t know why lecithin is good for you, but Bob’s makes it good and affordable.
love this stuff. i can tell a difference if i dont take it. quality is exceptional. i cannot say enough great things about bob’s red mill products. great in smoothies, mixed with yogurt, salad. bob’s flaxseed, lecithin, sunflower and pumpkin seeds make a great dressing for salads, mixed with some olive oil and garlic. diagnosed w/ a metabolic disorder affecting thyroid and adrenal glands, endocrine system, i’m re-evaluating life. simplify and back to basics. bob’s red mill products fit into getting healthy. they are such high quality products. and the price is wonderful. thank you amazon and bob’s red mill. happy, healthy new year !!
